REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR RESEARCH IN ADVANCED AND EMERGING AREAS OF
ENERGY RESOURCES
OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESEARCH
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
General Information
The Energy Resources Program (ERP) funds research initiatives in advanced and emerging technologies in energy to foster interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research programs to address immediate and future energy needs of the State of Texas. The focus of this year's Request for Proposals is alternative sources of energy to enhance Texas' ability to diversify and create new companies. While the emphasis is energy research critical to Texas, the research implications should be global and should take selected Texas A&M
programs to the next level of excellence and national competitiveness (e.g., Department of Energy funding). Funds awarded through the ERP are expected to generate sufficient advances and other resources necessary for submission of competitive proposals and collaborations.
